deRosenroll Fire Scene Investigations is owned and operated by Chris deRosenroll a certified fire investigator with over 40 years of experience in fire operations, fire investigations, and disaster management. This includes 35 years as a fire fighter, investigator, fire chief, and fire marshal in the Canadian Forces and after retirement from the forces over another decade investigating commercial and residential fires.
- Origin and cause investigations on over 1500 fires.
- Qualified in court as an expert witness.
- Fire Chief for fire departments with up to $5M annual budget and 50 staff.
- Directed fire protection, fire investigation, rescue and medical first responder services for fire departments and then nationally for all the Canadian Forces/National Defense.
- Managed all national fire training for the Canadian Forces, including inspectors and investigators (Approximately 11,000 personnel).
- Coordinated all aspects of fire prevention programs including fire policy and code development, fire engineering reviews of construction projects and fire safety audits.
- Advised the military on fire hazards and developed fire prevention strategies associated with materials, equipment, furnishings, industrial processed, and operational procedures.
- Chaired Alberta / Saskatchewan / DND inter-provincial Forest Fire Management committee (1987 - 1990).
